Return Policy


Thank you Studio Fran FAM! We can’t wait for you to wear your new gorgeous piece of jewelry.

Please note that all orders are made by hand, by Fran in her studio in Evansville, Indiana. Delivery dates vary but can take up to 12 weeks, and occasionally longer. Expected delivery date will be listed on tracking info via UPS, USPS, or FEDEX that you will receive via email once your order has shipped. Fran will send photos of your jewelry for final approval before she ships it.

Please read the rest of this page, but the basics are that there are no returns because each piece is custom-made just for you. Please let us know immediately if there is a problem and we will work diligently to make sure it is corrected. Sometimes mistakes happen because we are all humans after all, except for a few aliens from outer space among us. Fran doesn’t discriminate and will make jewelry for them too.


If for some reason your jewelry arrives damaged we will repair it. But you must notify us as soon as it arrives and send photographs of the damage. We are not responsible for any damage after this time frame.

Understand that Fran goes to ever effort to make sure every piece of jewelry she makes will stand the test of time. But also consider that we can not be responsible for incidents that occur after it leaves our hands. Stones sometimes may fall out. You may break your jewelry and think it is faulty construction. But there is natural wear and tear. Although metal is hard, it is also very soft and you may not be aware of how you knock it around while it is on your body.  

Therefore, damaged jewelry that happens after your wear you have worn it will be repaired but at a cost.  For example, if a stone falls out,  we will repair it for the cost of the missing stone, materials and labor.  


If you are issued a credit or gift card for purchase of another item, it must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase. No exceptions. We will not hold credit indefinitely.


If you place a deposit for custom jewelry, it is non-refundable. If you change your mind after a design has been agreed upon and no longer wish to move forward that design, that deposit is non-refundable. You may use your deposit within 12 months towards the purchase of other jewelry, but you will be deducted a fee for Fran’s time spent designing. Your credit must be used with in 12 months from the date of purchase. 


Due to the nature of handmade items, each piece may vary slightly from the photos on the website. These photos are used as a visual reference only.

We love our customers and work hard to make sure you are completely happy with your purchase. If for some reason you are not satisfied, you must contact us within 2 business days of receipt of your purchase. 


Returned jewelry must be in its original condition, including gift boxes and anti-tarnish pouch. It must not show any signs of wear or damage, or alteration. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns any other way.

Custom orders, custom changes, and made-to-order jewelry are final sale and non-returnable and do not qualify for an exchange. These items may not be listed as final sale items in the product description or at check out. Because these items are made just for you, the customer, they are still non-returnable.


Most jewelry purchased from Studio Fran is made to order and therefore considered custom work. Any changes made to jewelry items, such as resizing of rings, adding custom changes, engraving, or stamping are considered custom orders and non-returnable, nor are they eligible for exchange.

We work hard to ensure our customer’s happiness and custom-make each piece just for you. We want you to love it. Buyer’s remorse is not an eligible reason for return or exchange. Damage that occurs after delivery is not eligible for return or exchange. Purchases over $250 are non-returnable/non-refundable.

Exchanges of purchases are made on a case-by-case basis. If we do decide to allow an exchange, you must return the piece within 5-7 days and it must be in perfect condition, in the same condition it left Studio Fran, You are responsible for all shipping costs for returns and exchanges.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS are non-returnable and non-refundable. Shipping for international orders is $100.


After reading everything above and you feel like you still need to make a return or exchange, please email us at or within 2 business days of receipt of your purchase. In your email, let us know what item or items you wish to be considered for return. Please include reasons for return or exchange and if there is damage, include images of items and the damage. We would love to know what happened and make sure you end up pleased. Please note that we will respond ASAP, and should be within 1 business day. Our business hours are Monday- Friday 9 am to 5 pm. We do not respond on weekends or after 5 pm. We need to recharge and replenish our life force and energy to keep creating and making such beautiful work, therefore we are not available outside of business hours.

Domestic shipping fees are $15, expedited shipping is $100. Shipping fees will not be refunded. If you paid for expedited shipping, those fees are non-refundable as well.

If you are returning or exchanging an item, we will email a return form and label. The return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund unless we agree to other arrangements.

Please ensure returns are securely packaged

Your items need to arrive in the condition you received them in. Secure packaging means the original packaging, a padded envelope, or a small box with bubble wrap and including the return/exchange form. If you would like a receipt for the return, delivery confirmations are for sale at any post office. If the return value is over $100, we highly recommend insuring the package at the post office for protection against loss.

Returns are inspected and processed by our team within 7 business days of receipt. We will review and inspect your item and confirm your return via email. Decisions are made at our sole discretion. We are not responsible for items that are damaged or lost during return shipping. Therefore, adequate and proper packaging, as well as insurance are recommended. Credit is issued to your original method of payment and you will receive an email confirmation. We do not accept returns in any other state other than the original condition, nor do we accept returns past our 30 day return period. They will be sent back to you; if you reject that return shipment, Studio Fran reserves the right to liquidate the inventory and withhold your credit.

Please note: You are responsible for filing a claim with your courier if items are damaged or lost during return shipping.
